Congratulations on your engagement!
We have outlined several steps to help you build a satisfying, loving and grace-filled marriage
that will last a lifetime. Through the years, we have seen God's best come from solid, intentional
preparation for marriage. The time you spend during your engagement should be viewed
as an investment in the life you will live together.
The wedding process at Seacoast will usually take about six months to complete. This will allow you time to complete the marriage preparation course (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts), meet our premarital counseling requirements (4 sessions with officiating pastor), and carefully plan your wedding with your officiating pastor.
To start the wedding process, you can download the wedding policy, and then contact the church office to answer your remaining questions and review the church calendar.
In most cases a pastor can be reached by calling the church office at 207-282-3000. After normal office hours you will be prompted to leave a message and a phone number. A pastor will then return your call as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency that occurs after hours, (i.e. health or emotional crisis, death in the family) Pastor Scott Batchelder can be reached on is cell phone 207-590-9336. This private line should not be used for benevolence requests.
Becoming a member at Seacoast Chapel is basically a 2-step process.
The first step is to attend an Alpha Course. The next is to attend our membership course. The membership course is a required prerequisite for all those interested in becoming a member at Seacoast Chapel. If you are interested in being apart of our next membership course please contact the church office at 282-3000.
We do things the way we do to follow the Apostle Pauls example,
who said, "I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ."
Our vision at Seacoast is to reach unchurched people and lead them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Everything we do is geared to that one goal. The Newcomers lunch is also a great time to ask specific questions as to why we do things the way we do.
