Making a difference
America is becoming a nation in which peoples closest friends are known as me, myself, and I. We foster the I have mine, you get yours attitude, and a modified conception of Social Darwinism, in which only the strong survive, seems to prevail. Even religious persons, as in the Parable of the Good Samaritan, can become distracted by inverted priorities, too busy being religious to respond to those in need.

Mothers Day 2008
Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

Meditate on This
Meditating on God's forgiveness can be a very beneficial reminder of how much God loves you. If you are a child of God, He has cancelled your sin debt. Jesus Christ took on your sins while on the cross! Meditate on these verses:

Colossians 2:13-14 says, "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross."

John 3:16 The Numbers of Hope
A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder. The heart of the human problem is the heart of the human. And Gods treatment is prescribed in John 3:16.

Growing Spiritual Redwoods
Growing Spiritual Redwoods is an effort to help church leaders answer the kinds of questions that confront congregations and Christians in this era of rapid and uncertain change in the church, questions such as: Are you committed to Jesus Christ, or to a particular doctrine, denomination, or church? Do you speak of faith as an experience of Christ, or as a heritage that you protect?

What is Worship?
The purpose of our worship is to glorify, honor, praise, exalt, and please God. Our worship must show our adoration and loyalty to God for His grace in providing us with the way to escape the bondage of sin, so we can have the salvation He so much wants to give us.
