Our Core Values

Scripture – We believe that scripture is the standard for all truth and is the basis for church doctrine and vital to successful Christian living.  Truly all that we value is derived from Scripture.

(2 Timothy 3:16, Romans 15:4, Psalm 1:2-3, Psalm 119:16, Joshua 1:8)

Excellence– We believe excellence honors God and inspires people.

This includes the concepts of diligence, thorough preparation, careful planning, cleanliness, quality and honest evaluation.
(Col. 3:17, Col. 3:23, Mal. 1:6-14, Prov. 27:17, Deut. 6:5)

Authentic Full Devotion- We believe that the pursuit of authentic full  devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer. Spiritual growth is seen as an expected natural result of our desire to personally know God.

This includes the concepts of authenticity, personal discipleship, and character building. It also includes the concepts of servant hood, spiritual gifts and ministry callings. (Romans 12:9-10, Col. 1:27-29,1 John 2:5-6, Phil. 3:12-14, James 1:2-4, John 13:15)

Culturally Relevant– We believe that every person has a right to a presentation of the gospel at their own level of understanding.

This includes being sensitive to the perspective of non-believers, relating the gospel in creative, user friendly, practical ways, & non-religious in our approach.  (1 Cor. 9:22, Matt. 10:16)

Outreach – We believe that every person matters to God, and therefore, ought to matter to the church.

This include concept of personal relational evangelism efforts, local outreaches and world missions projects.  (Luke 5:30-32, Luke 15, Matt. 18:14, John 20:21)

Acceptance- We believe everyone is loved, valued and accepted by God and therefore should be embraced by the church.
This includes the concept of unconditional love, grace, belonging before believing, non-prejudice, and compassion (Revelation 22:17, John 4:28-30, Galatians 3:26-28, Matt. 9:36)

Serving Together- We believe that serving together accomplishes more than serving alone.

This includes the concept of, teamwork, accountability, personal sacrifice, community & respect. (Leviticus 26:8, Eccl. 4:12, Luke 6:12-13, Acts 2:44-47, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 21-22, Romans 12:11)

Thoughtful Loving Relationships- We believe that caring loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life.

This includes the concepts of love-driven ministry, humility, respect, gentleness, authenticity and relationship building (Romans 12:9-10 & 16, 1Cor. 13, Neh. 3, Luke 10:1, John 13:34-35, 1 Peter 3:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:12)
